It is worth mentioning that various churches have claimed to be the world’s largest church, but none of them have been confirmed by any reliable authority.

We did, however, conduct our research and discovered that the world’s biggest churches may be measured using a variety of parameters, including area, volume and capacity. As a result, no entity can determine which is the world’s largest church.

To give the public with factual information and not add to the already existing uncertainty, we compiled our list of the biggest churches in the world, based on their sitting capacity.

United Family International Church is both a non-denominational megachurch and a church network. The headquarters is located in Harare, Zimbabwe, with offices in Botswana, South Africa, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Zambia.

The church is led by Emmanuel Makandiwa, who began it with a prayer session at Harare’s Anglican Cathedral on August 17, 2008.

Lakewood Church is an evangelical Christian megachurch that is not affiliated with any one denomination.

It is one of the biggest congregations in the United States, with around 45,000 people attending each week.
