Ghanaian chef Failatu Abdul-Razak attempted to break the Guinness World Record for the longest individual cook-a-thon by cooking continuously for more than 227 hours.

On Wednesday, Abdul-Razak completed the cook-a-thon with an emotional homage in Tamale. Describing it as a “national assignment,” after her fellow Nigerian chef Hilda Baci, who participated in the culinary marathon as an individual.

The 26-year-old Nigerian chef cooked constantly for an astonishing 93 hours and 11 minutes, beating Lata Tondon’s previous record of 87 hours and 45 minutes in 2019.
